As many of you know, our friend Rick, who has been so generous to our communities with his home, farm space and time over the last 2 or so years, is currently in hospital and he, his family and partner need our support

Rick Wesson, warmly known by some as "Farmer Rick," son to Carol and Jerry, brother to Mark, Jeff and Todd, friend to many, was admitted to the ICU on December 7th, 2022 with muscle weakness, confusion, and difficulty breathing (hypoxia.) A few days in, Rick was diagnosed with Legionnaire's disease. He has been improving but it will likely be a long road to recovery.
We hope that if we unite as a group, we can help him pay the growing medical bills and get access to quality recovery support. Options are still being evaluated, but they will likely need to involve a stay in a special facility, skilled nurses, physical therapy, and more.
