Yeah, I even did the date in the American-style way (which I used to find really annoying)! Us Brits would call that 4/7...

Thank you! There's nothing like a one-year anniversary of a momentous occasion to ensure that a video finally gets made! 😬

Thank you, Thomas Paine, and Sane Franciscan plus friends! As TP put it so well in his intro to Commons Sense "...the Tumult soon subsides. Time makes more Converts than Reason." One can still hope! Thanks for this reminder to gather our friends and remember what these fireworks are supposed to symbolize: victory over tyranny! Let's live our lives as if that's true and soon enough, it will be.

Beautiful video! Yes, government can be very negative, especially when controlled by greedy narcissists and the nefarious networks and institutions they control, which is sadly the case with nearly all of the federal and many state government agencies. But it can do a few laudable things, usually on the local level, like make sure landlords can't raise rents exponentially or evict tenants capriciously while also ensuring their right to a fair return on their investment (per our rent control ordinance in Richmond, for example). Or provide beautiful swimming pools, a welcoming senior center with line dancing and other classes, naturalists who teach folks about the amazing flora and fauna in our regional parks, etc.

Let's get rid of the greedy narcissists and usher in more of the truly fair, principled, compassionate, caring, and creative members of the human family to support harmonious living in an a very complex world!

Oh, and when I saw the 7 and 4 on your earrings, I thought, wow, how sweet of you to acknowledge my current age ;-)

Thanks as always for delighting and challenging us!!

I totally agree Marilyn. Yes government could do so many excellent things for the people they have been elected to serve. We currently have criminals and loafers in charge. Good people need to run.

Yes, my earrings were also for you!

Happy 7️⃣4️⃣ squared!
