I really appreciate your reminders to stay positive. It’s been hard of late but I’m coming out of it, thankfully. 😅

Hey, Neshma. You're a pretty decent writer, if I do say so myself. Just wanted to shout out and let you know that even though I don't stop by the spot very often, or stay very long when I do, I'm glad you're a part of this amazing city of San Francisco that truly is like no other in the world. I marvel at that often and consider myself very fortunate to have lived here myself over 30 years. Keep on keepin' on, girl! Kim R.

Thanks Kim! Always nice to see -- or bump into -- you in the 'hood! Same sentiment right backatcha ✨

You never talk about yourself, so it's great to read your history. What keeps me sane is doing what I can, when I can, and the occasional chance to connect with like-minded beings. And still believing we can change the world, one mind at a time.

Kathy, you're so right about one mind at a time! I could say the same about you and I know YOUR history is quite a story... I think it's because we've always been "in action" when we've been together. I hope we can have a cup of tea sometime and remedy that. And I'd love to pick your gardening brain...

I would love that. I'm here trying to get my "new" iPhone activated, but it's too for them late to do it (east coast time) so I'll have to call them tomorrow morning to talk to a tech. My phone was stolen from my car last Friday and I just got the replacement in the mail, so I still have no phone, but it should be working tomorrow by noon. A cup of tea with you sounds fine, let's do it!

Sorry to hear about the theft and hope you get connected soon. Call/text me when you do and let's arrange for us to meet...

OK. Just got off the chat with Apple and I've severed my relationship with it and AT&T forever. Am going to Best Buy to get a Jitterbug (phone) and might not have the same number. YOU are the first one to know! I feel cleansed..... And I hope the Cloud gets permanent indigestion with my little bubble inside its gut.

It is a sad irony that you came to SF to be “free” and it has become THE bastion of oppression. Kudos for realizing your bold vision of a purposeful community – a lifestyle! – that may yet deflect the “totalitarian technocracy hurtling our way.”

Thanks RMJ! Ironic indeed. Glad we have so many great people amongst us working so hard to build parallel structures...

Well done my beautiful sister.. I too have had this tempestuous love affair with this town.. it was always a dream of mine to live here, since being a kid. It sure seems like it's going through a controlled demolition by some pretty evil forces. It's up to us to salvage what we can, while we can.. and you've done plenty in that department! Long live Sane Francisco. Gotta get that hat.. <3

"It sure seems like it's going through a controlled demolition by some pretty evil forces. "

I moved to SF in 1973 . Drove into town in my old van, my dog, and around 50 dollars to my name. Started off selling fruit and veggies from a truck whose owner had a license to sell at that location . He would bring FARM fresh stuff in from the valley . Delicious . It is when i learned what a really good tomato tastes like. ......... to be continued
